About
Experience & Top Results Across a Variety of Mounts in the Equitation at Prestigious Venues & Medal Finals
As a freshman from Fort Mill, South Carolina, I have been fortunate to train under the guidance of Georgy Segesman at White Thorne LLC who has helped me transform as a rider in the equitation including top three placings in the equitation at various national medal finals.
I am fortunate to do this sport not only with my younger sister but with my mom as well. While I started riding later than my younger sister, I have quickly moved from the ponies to top placings in the 3'6" equitation. Most notably, I secured Reserve Champion at Capital Challenge in the 14 & Under Equitation on a horse that was brand new to me. With the same mount, we also scored an 84 on the flat at Jump Seat Medal Finals and finished second at the National Horse Show in the Under 14 Equitation over fences. I have been fortunate to ride a variety of horses and challenge myself while consistently placing in the top three in the 3'6" equitation. This year I qualified for Maclay Finals, Dover Medal Finals, and all of the 3'3" Medal Finals even placing 3rd in the South Carolina Governors Cup with an 85 out of 20 competitors.
As a freshman, I have high academic aspirations aiming to study pre-medicine and become a dermatologist one day. Outside of horses, I am an avid volleyball player. Freshman year was my first time trying out for the team and I was placed on varsity and will begin to compete year round in volleyball as well.
I aim to blend my love for horses and competing at a high level with my academic goals, hoping to ride for a Division I college team. I believe my strengths in and out of the saddle will prove to be valuable to any collegiate team I pursue.
